It is designed to reform system of levying state duty for operations by customs bodies
1 / 5

It is proposed to rewrite the article on the rates of state duty paid for customs operations defined by the law on State Duty. It is proposed to bring these norms into line with the rates established by the EEU Customs Code. In recent years, they have not undergone any amendments.

Separation of the state duty charged by the customs bodies for customs operations according to the types of customs declarations is planned. For each case of state duty, it is planned to define the terms of payment of state duty. The scope of state duty exemption privileges will be clarified.

The Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Artur Manukyan presented the proposed amendments and addenda to the Law on State Tax in the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs. The issue was debated in the first reading.

The current rates for temporary protection will be changed: They will be set by weight. Separate rates will be provided for each of the existing 4 types of declarations depending on the weight of the product.

The bill was approved by the Committee.
